Trailer Searching

Been looking for a 7x14 enclosed trailer that would be suitable to haul/store a YXZ 1000R. It is such a PITA. There is so little transparency in the trailer business, you need to call everyone! Why can't I just pull info off of websites? I mean, if you're proud of your stuff, why don't dealers want to show 'em off and convince customers?

Oh well, the search continues.

YXZ ... soon, yeah soon!

Just a thought. Is 7' going to be wide enough to open the door and get out of a 64'' wide YXZ? 7'=84'' YXZ=64'' that leaves you roughly 20'' total or 10'' on either side, assuming you park exactly in the center.

yeah, 7' is close but able. It'll work primarily because I'm going to put a winch on the YXZ and I'll winch it in and out. I may go larger, still undecided, but much larger gets me into expensive Al build.

Tow vehicle limited to 7000#.

ultimate would be 8.5x22-24. I could haul 2 sxs or a couple ATV's too. Just don't want to lay out the dough.

YXZ ... soon, yeah soon!

One of my trailers is 7'x20' it hauls my YXZ and dad's RZR the other is 6'x12' for solo trips. they are open trailers though, I can't afford that fancy sh** plus I couldn't imagine cleaning that mess up after a muddy ride.

I have a 7x14. It fits fine. I can either winch it in or crawl out the back.

My dad has an open utility trailer. Not too sure of size, about 7x16, I could borrow it to move a YXZ.

I want/need to go enclosed, though. I only have a 20x20 garage and it's already full with 2 cars. And, I'm in a condo so I'll need to store away from home. An enclosed will actually be the economical route in the long run.

YXZ ... soon, yeah soon!

Thanks for the pic and info!

Question, How much ceiling clearance does the YXZ have in your trailer? Thanks!

I'd like to get something very similar, just a pain talking to trailer dealers.

Edit: Looking closer, a trailer dealer I want to talk to carries lightning trailers, I'll definitely check it out!

YXZ ... soon, yeah soon!

I was worried it would not fit in the door. With the ramp angle the highest point of the YXZ is in before its all the way up the ramp. It fits fine as long as you don't plan to install a lift kit or bigger tires you will be good.

I have a 16x7 ..7 foot tall. If I were to do it again...I would definitely go wider....crawling out is a pain. If you try to put the machine too close to one side...to be able to get out the other door...it makes it hard to center the machine while backing out...running risk of catching rear door cables.

Crawling out does suck! That's why I put a winch on my YXZ, But if you didn't want to spend that kind of $$$ on a winch you can get a small 2k winch for under $100 and mount it in the front of the trailer.
