Shock Spring Preload ?

Hi ,
Can someone please measure your springs and let me know what yours are set at. I measured them with the car sitting on the ground.

My fronts are 15 3/16 the OM says that they should be at 16.36 for standard.
and the rears are 16 1/8 and the OM says 19.06 for standard.

Its strange that they would be so far off.
Thanks for your help.

You can't check shock preload with the vehicle on the ground. You have to jack it up enough to get the wheels off the ground (both front at once and both rear at once)
Check your owners manual for the correct shock preload adjustments.
Standard for the front is 16.3" and the rear is 19"
That is a good place to start.

Ok thanks , I wasn't sure if the wheels need to be off the ground. It doesn't tell you that in the OM unless i missed it.
